One -Day National Seminar on ‘Human Values in Literature’

 

Departments of Sanskrit,Kannada,Hindi and English in association with IQAC organised a One -Day National Seminar on ‘Human Values in Literature’ on 6^th June ,2024 at Nuthana Ravindra Mantapa, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial College,Udupi Prof.Sadyojatha Bhat,Paleographist, Indira Gandhi National Centre, Bengaluru inaugurated the seminar and gave the keynote address.Shri C.A Varadaraya Pai was the President of the inaugural session.Inauguration was followed by two technical sessions by different language experts:Dr.Praveen Shetty[English] Dr.Taru Pawar [Hindi],Dr.Shrikanth Siddapura [Kannada] and Dr. B.Gopalacharya [Sanskrit] were the resource persons .Dr. N.T Bhat and Prof M. L Samaga were the chairpersons of the technical sessions .In the afternoon from 2 pm Parallel Paper Presentation sessionscommenced.Dr.Ramesh T.S ,Dr. Raviraj Shetty , Dr. Narayan Shetty and Dr. Shridhar Bhat were the moderators of Sanskrit, Kannada ,Hindi and English sessions respectively . Dr.Padekallu Vishnu Bhat was the Chief Guest of the Valedictory Session. Principal Prof. Laxminarayan Karanth appreciated the efforts of the language department in organising the seminar meticulously . More than 200 participants attended the seminar .

Department of English had organised a Project Art Exhibition in the room no-06. Projectsprepared bystudents from different streams were exhibited.235 enthusiasts visited and appreciated the creativity of our students.
